A warm season annual legume for wildlife plots. Especially great for deer, turkey and quail. Can be planted in combination with other summer annual grasses to help provide supplemental nitrogen. Plants form long seed pods that wildlife love. Helps to add organic matter to the soil. Produces forage in approximately 45 days. Seed pods mature around 100 days. Actually a member of the bean family instead of the pea family.

Produce nitrogen in root nodules.

Leaves provide a high level of protein while pods provide energy.

Drought tolerant Seed at the rate of 50 lbs per acre for pure stands and 25 lbs per acre for mixes with other summer annual seeds at a depth of 1/2 inch. Soil pH should be in the 5.5 to 6.5 range. Soil temperature should be at least 60 degrees Fahrenheit or higher.
