One of the best shade tolerant fescues for a lawn. Will survive in areas of heavy shade that only get 2-4 hours of daily sun. Has a very fine texture. Spreads through a creeping growth habit. Can be sown in mixtures with turf bluegrass and ryegrass varieties. Often used in parks, roadsides, fairways, cemeteries, airfields and other turf areas. Seeding rate - 3 to 5 lbs/1,000 sq ft for new stands. Plant to a maximum depth of 1/4 inch.
