Released in 1981. A medium-early maturity overall but late in the mid-Atlantic region. Moderate yields and relatively attractive tuber type. A yellow white skinned, yellow flesh cultivar that makes it stand out from other white flesh potatoes. Plants are medium to large and upright. Stems are purplish but are more green in the upper portion of the plant. Flowers are violet to light-violet with yellow anthers. Tubers slightly oval, may be somewhat flattened. Has distinctive shallow, pink eyes. Resistant to mild mosaic and moderately resistant to leafroll virus. Retaines yellow flesh color when cooked. Well suited for fresh market.
